United Bank for Africa Liberia Limited has launched the Push and Pull Service with MTN Mobile Money, however, the partnership between UBA Liberia and MTN makes it the second GSM Company to partner with the bank on this initiative.
Push & Pull Services is in the business of mobile marketing & online marketing since 2009 and corporate gifting from the last two years providing the bulk sms, voice and email marketing based services with more than 25 million email, 15 million mobile numbers database. It enables an individual to promote their products at nominal cost providing direct access to their potential clients through sms and email.
Numerous features are attached to this initiative as UBA Liberia customers can now transfer money from their UBA account to their Lonestar Cell MTN mobile money wallet and also transfer back to their UBA account.
With this seamless platform, UBA customers will also be able to do bank account balance inquiries and monitor their bank transactions from both platforms.
To use the ‘Push and Pull’ service, UBA Liberia and MTN customers need to simply dial *156#, select option 7 for Financial Services and follow the prompts and visit any UBA branch to link their bank account to their mobile money account.

A speech was made by UBA Liberia MD/CEO Olalekan Balogun, he started by expressing thanks to MTN for the partnership. He extended his speech by urging their customers to optimize the opportunity initiated by the two parties.
The service will help to remedy the current cash-based economy that Liberia has, thereby supporting the Central Bank of Liberia Vision of financial inclusion for all Liberians” he explained.
Extensively, he also urged their customers not to limit the platform to just transferring from their UBA Account to their Mobile Money Account and Vice Versa, however, they should also use it as a payment tool at various business centers in Liberia.
