These topics will encompass digital payments innovation, blockchain applications, lending for individuals and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), commodity supply chain advancements, and fintech regulation.
The Africa Fintech Summit stands as a focal point for innovation, collaboration, and advancement in the fintech sector, bringing together key players and driving positive change within Africa’s financial technology landscape
Zambia – The Best Location For The Africa Fintech Summit
The African Fintech Summit is excited to choose Zambia as its host country. With a flourishing fintech ecosystem and its strategic position in relation to key industries and economic communities like COMESA, Zambia offers an ideal location for the summit.
A 2022 report jointly published by the Ministry of Technology & Science and the UNCDF highlights Zambia’s impressive mobile money penetration, which increased from 53.3% in 2015 to 69.4% in 2020. However, there are still ample opportunities for growth and innovation in Zambia’s financial services, connectivity, commerce, and digital infrastructure sectors.
“We are thrilled to bring the 10th Africa Fintech Summit to Lusaka, Zambia. Zambia hosts substantial potential for the fintech industry and will continue to play an increasingly crucial role in an array of sectors across the global economy,” said Zekarias Amsalu, Co-Founder of the Africa Fintech Summit.
