The initial release comprises 34 Snaps, including contributions from developers worldwide, including Nigeria. These Snaps introduce new functionalities, including transaction insights, interoperability with non-EVM blockchains like Bitcoin, and notifications.

These Snaps have undergone security audits and were manually added to the allow list by the MetaMask team. The ongoing goal is to streamline the process and eventually transition to a permissionless system, eliminating the need for this intermediate step.
