Taking another move to empower and equip start-ups across Africa, Ecobank the Pan-African bank calls on Fintech entrepreneurs in Africa to enter the 3rd edition of the Ecobank Fintech Challenge. This challenge is an opportunity for African start-ups to promote their Fintech solutions and partner with the bank to collaborate and launch their solutions across the bank’s 33 markets in Africa as well as France.
This challenge by Ecobank in partnership with the advisory firm Konfidants is supported by several partners across Africa and also globally. Submissions from start-ups and developers in any of the 54 countries in African are welcome to enter for this Fintech challenge.
These finalists will go through rigorous training and business boot camps after being inducted as Ecobank Fintech Fellows. This will be closely followed by an Awards and Innovation Fair at their headquarters situated in Lome Togo come June 2020.

Here are some of the various opportunities participants will get to explore:
- Getting mentoring and networking support from global and African partners of the Group’s network.
- Service provider partnerships. Selection of some start-ups to serve as a Pan-African service partner within the bank’s ecosystem.
- Access to their Banking Sandbox: Participants/Fellows will be given access to Ecobank’s API to test and improve their products for the Pan African market.
- Multinational product roll-out: This will give an opportunity to pursue integration with Ecobank and potentially launch products in the bank’s African footprint.
