Two Twitter employees fired by Elon Musk has built an alternative app, named Spill. The app has been able to gets 20,000 users in hours.

Farrell and Brown were part of the Twitter workforce cut down by Elon Musk. This was during the mass firing in November with a three months severance package.
Both individuals now claimed to have used the severance package from Musk to develop and promote a substitute for Twitter.
What Does Spill App Do
Speaking how what Spill can do, both developer said the app would cater to cultural divers and act as a haven for Black Twitter artists.
Using Twitter to promote the new app, they said,
“The app is meant to be a real-time discussion platform that puts culture first and it will debut in January.”
Giving full details on the project, Terrell said the Spill app will use blockchain to compensate users for popular posts. It will also include a feature called “tea parties” where users can gather online or in real life to connect.
“However, the blockchain is used to both credit artists and set up a model for us to automatically compensate them. It works incredibly well if they have a spill that becomes popular and we monetize it.”
Terrell led Twitter’s global social and editorial operations, while Brown was the product manager lead before they were both sacked.
Terrell led Twitter’s global social and editorial operations up until he was fired by Elon Musk. On the other hand, Brown focused mostly on machine learning while working as a product manager lead at Twitter.
It was also reported that Jack Dorsey has decided to start a new social media company. The new social media platform already has 30,000 people signed up for its beta testing before going public.
The former Twitter founder has had this idea for a long time. To him, the social media firm is ill be an open-source platform.
