Keza Africa said that it had added Starlink to its platform of goods customers could purchase right away and pay little for. This is weeks after Starlink from Elon Musk’s SpaceX began to ship in Nigeria, which does not appear to be the sort of item that would be posted on a pay small-small marketplace.
The main cause is Starlink’s high price, which makes it almost a luxury item for society’s top 1%. Yet, Keza Africa has a point. It is simple to overlook the low internet penetration that is endemic to the nation when living in one of the major cities like Lagos, Port Harcourt, or Abuja. This was the issue Keza Africa set out to address.
The business saw a chance to provide working professionals in less urban areas with access to Starlink, a move in line with its goal of giving Africans access to tools for the workforce. The internet is a necessary work tool in today’s technologically advanced environment.
Keza’s Effort To Assist Experts
The objective of Keza Africa is to address the issue of professionals’ lack of access to the technology they require to carry out their everyday responsibilities. The company’s mission is fundamentally based on a Starlink satellite internet product.
Speaking on this during a recent interview, Chief Executive Officer, of Keza Africa, Aisha Hussaini, said
“400 million Africans do not own a smartphone or a laptop. We are a device financing company that enables people to own the work tools they need today and pay in flexible installments”.
According to her, a device financing company like Keza Africa is vital to solving this.
Lola Esan, a partner at the international corporation Ernst and Young Global Limited, described the business as “another African unicorn on the rise” because it has already attracted the attention of investors.
“We are solving the problem of non-affordability of certain devices that help people to be more productive,” the Keza Africa executive said. “Right now in Nigeria, when people want to own certain devices, especially devices like their smartphones, laptops, and an internet connection, they find that it’s more expensive for them simply because of pricing. Forex is not on our side in this part of the world.
Things that people need right now, today, are not affordable for them. So they have to save for months before they can own these devices. We are enabling people to own today what they need and pay over time.”
Conclusion
After the customer’s request is approved, the firm claims to ship the devices within 24 hours. According to Hussaini, using the right tools for the job is crucial for getting the job done as well as for raising professionals’ salaries.
