Konga is the most admired and innovative e-commerce company on the African continent. This is according to a new consumer-focused poll released on March 15, 2023, to commemorate World Consumer Rights Day.
The consumer-based market survey investigated the current state, performance, and development trajectory of e-commerce in Africa. Konga was named Africa’s fastest-growing e-commerce company in the study, which polled several consumer layers ranging from young to middle age and Boomers.

The survey, conducted by DigiPundits, a pan-African digital research and marketing firm, yielded the same verdict on Konga as previous independent surveys, all of which placed the e-commerce giant at the top of the pack in terms of pocket-friendly pricing, operational efficiency, and courage to take responsibility whenever a hiccup occurs.
When asked which African e-commerce company they would like to work for, the majority of respondents, primarily adolescents, said Konga was a prospective workplace of choice.

Respondents described Konga’s employment of technology to scale up operations as extremely responsive, aggressive, and optimistic. They also gave Konga great marks for being a conscientious corporate citizen. Respondents recalled that during the Covid-19 lockdown, when they had to rely more on e-commerce, Konga stood out not only for ensuring that goods prices were heavily discounted with free, real-time delivery but also for going the extra mile to supply thousands of families nationwide with essential food items for free.
Konga was also named the best emotionally intelligent e-commerce company. Its collaboration with several major manufacturers ensured that people received their household necessities, including free toppings, without difficulty throughout the lockdown. Indeed, Konga’s strategic alliances with various consumer goods manufacturers have transformed it into a one-stop shop for numerous brands of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs), resulting in an increase in traffic to its online platform and physical storefronts.
One of the reasons respondents to the survey questions are loyal to the brand is the ease of payment on the Konga platform. KongaPay was developed in 2015 in collaboration with Nigerian commercial banks to alleviate delays and reduce insecurity related to online payments.
KongaPay, a secure and user-friendly payment software for Konga clients and other users, stood out from the crowd because it includes internal security and full compliance with existing KYC rules, giving online payers peace of mind.
