Netflix has announced the upcoming launch of the ad-supported tier it has been working on for a couple of months. It is set to launch on November 3rd, 2022.
The new “Basic With Ads” plan is priced at $6.99 (#3,041.91) per month. It is $3 (#1,305.54) cheaper than the standard Basic plan.
Netflix revealed that the feature will be available alongside the Basic, Standard, and Premium plans. It will offer 720p streaming video.
The new feature will be available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and so on. It will be in the UK later. To give the most relevant ads to customers, Netflix will partner with Nielsen. It will use its digital Ad Ratings in the US.

Netflix’s Reaction
Speaking on the new “Basic With Ads” in a blog post said:
“While it’s still very early days, we’re pleased with the interest from both consumers and the advertising community — and couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead. As we learn from and improve the experience, we expect to launch in more countries over time”.
Netflix’s “Basic With Ads” Benefits/Features
Netflix’s new plan will offer most of the same TV shows, movies, and personalized viewing experiences. However, subscribers will be allowed to view between 4 to 5 mins of ads per hour. The ads may vary from 15 to 30 seconds in length and will pop up during and before the shows or movies.

- Limited catalog but with access to Netflix originals.
It was also revealed that Microsoft co-created the new Netflix features. Also, note that it will not support offline downloading of movies/shows. So no do pass yourself.
