Snapchat is introducing a chatbot that uses ChatGPT from OpenAI.
On the chat tab of the app, the My AI chatbot for Snapchat will be shown above friend discussions.
Why would Snap include ChatGPT? According to Evan Spiegel, CEO of Snap, “the major concept is that in addition to chatting to our friends and family every day, we’re going to communicate with AI every day.”
According to him, it is a sure thing that more individuals will start utilizing AI chatbots in their daily lives.
Right now, all that My AI is in Snapchat is a mobile-friendly ChatGPT. Snapchat’s version differs mostly in that it provides fewer answers.
Principles Governing Snapchat’s AI Functions
The corporation states that its staff has given the bot specific instructions to abide by its trust and safety principles and to avoid replying with profanity, violence, or sexual content or political opinions in its responses.
As more people use My AI and report problematic responses, Snap hopes to continue improving it.
Terms and conditions apply
According to Spiegel, the business plans to make it accessible to all of its users. However it will initially only be accessible to $3.99 monthly Snapchat Premium subscribers.
In other news, Microsoft, also launched an advanced version of its browsers Bing and Edge. The new versions of Bing and Edge, which they described as “AI copilot for the web”, will deliver better search, more complete answers, a new chat experience, and the ability to generate content.
This is coming after Google announced Bard, GhatGPT’s rival, which combines the depth of the world’s information with the power, intelligence, and creativity of its large language models to help deliver answers to inquiries.
With the new features, users can ask for a summary of a lengthy financial report to get the key takeaways and use the chat function to ask for comparison among competing companies.
