Stripe, a fintech startup has announced that it has begun incorporating OpenAI’s most recent GPT-4 artificial intelligence model into its digital payment processing and other products.
The news came in response to OpenAI, which is supported by Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O). It announced that GPT-4, a new iteration of the potent artificial intelligence (AI) technology that underpins chatbot sensation ChatGPT, would be released.
The Stripe action highlights the interest of major organizations incorporating AI into their product offerings as one of the first known integrations of OpenAI’s new technology.
What Stripe GPT-4 Will Do
According to Emily Sands, head of information at San Francisco-based Stripe, there are currently 14 GPT-4 prototypes under development.
Explaining further, Sands said the initial service will let Stripe’s software developers type a question and get condensed responses rather than having to look up the developer manual.
Another experiment under development will let Stripe’s customers speak naturally when asking questions about their business metrics rather than having to create database queries.
According to Stripe, OpenAI will also purchase credits for the DALL-E image-generation product as well as charge consumers for services like ChatGPT Plus and other subscriptions.
Back Story
It would be recalled that ChatGPT-4 (GPT-4) the highly well-liked big language model that powers artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots, was recently announced by OpenAI.
GPT-4 will be the most ambitious NLP we have yet seen. Due to GPT-4’s multimodality, you might be able to enter many types of input, including text, graphics, video, and sound (including speech).
These multimodal capacities may also enable the creation of output like video, audio, and other sorts of content, similar to their abilities on the input end. The strength and capabilities of AI chatbots using ChatGPT-4 may be greatly increased by allowing for the input and output of both text and graphic content.
Conclusion
It’s still uncertain if businesses will be able to successfully commercialize their products and charge users for them as the AI market becomes more competitive.
