While the former operation purely featured plastic card payments, TNM Mpamba, the new virtual payment solution, is facilitated through an interlinked payment platform.
WHY THE PARTNERSHIP?
According to Christopher Sukasuka, General Manager (TNM Mpamba):
The solution functions like a debit card that can be used for all types of eCommerce payments. When you combine the wide agent network of TNMM Mpamna with the robust network of Mastercard within Malawi and globally, you get an unrivaled service network.
WHAT DO CONSUMERS STAND TO ENJOY?
Through the partnership, consumers will be able to engage in eCommerce transactions through mobile wallets and have access to a lot of transactions that require card payments; Netflix subscriptions, Facebook advertising, Amazon online shopping, bill payments and so much more. The platform will generate a code on this mobile money platform allowing users to settle domestic and international payments from e-commerce brands online. Mpamba’s customers get a 16 digit card number, a security code, and an expiration date.
