Wrapp SA (Waste Recycler App), an application that offers waste removal and recycling services announced on Friday, 18th October 2019 that it plans to go nation-wide (expands its horizon) by the end of the year. As of this announcement, it has 60 service providers registered in Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban and they serve over 700 clients.
Wrapp is a South African-born tech startup that has an innovative app that brings independent truck owners and customers together through its intuitive platform. Small businesses, construction companies, shopping centers, renovators, house complexes, homeowners, and more book their truck or skip, and local drivers and loading team collect waste for responsible disposal – which are all tracked and recorded online by their system. This fast-growing service provides a quick way to remove waste from worksites.
Using Wrapp is like ordering a cab driver on Taxify or Uber. Clive Amsel, who is the founder of WRAPP commented thus:
We want to spare you the hassle of sorting out your waste while creating work for truck owners in an environmentally conscious way, it’s one of the primary reasons we exist.
Amsel says that:
It’s a different approach to work and it’s wonderful to see the potential this technology taps into. Apart from the positive environmental impact, we can make through recycling and responsible disposal, it’s the new work opportunities that give me hope.
Wrapp has partnered with about four (4) accredited partners in the environmental industry which include Institute of Waste Management South Africa, Master Builders and Allied Traders’ Association, ADT, and Accredited City of Cape Town Waste Services Provider, all based in South Africa to make this tech startup a dream come true.
Wrapp (SA) allows truck owners to schedule their work and manage their time once they’re active on the service. Drivers take 80% of all revenue, while Wrapp markets their services online, automate the bookings, maintains the administrative activities and takes the burden of credit risks on payments. Wrapp has received many congratulatory messages from clients and even from those that got employed through its services. Wrapp has proven to be an innovative tech startup with more potential to reach set goals.
