The joint Drivers Welfare Association of Nigeria (JDWAN) has threatened to go on strike for 7 days if their needs are not met.
The drivers complained bitterly of the multiple and excessive extortions by the management of parks and garages in the state.
Lagos State government has promised to look into the demands and also urge them to suspend the strike pending the time the issue is resolved.
They also warned drivers who might want to take advantage of the situation to raise fares to desist from such or face a grave penalty.
